- [Instructor] Right, let's look a little more closely at parts and events and how we can process them to optimize their audio playback. In this tutorial, I'll look at how we can split the audio event into multiple parts and then how to optimize its volume playback if it's been recorded quietly. What I can do first is work on this lead vocal file. I'll select it first of all and then hit the P key on my keyboard to get the left and right locators to surround it. Now even at first glance, we can see that the event has audio recorded on it. It's not a silent file of course. We do see that overlayed graphic of the waveform, but that graphic is quite small in terms of height and this indicates that the volume playback for this particular event won't be at optimum. I'll hit it's solo button to isolate its playback from the other tracks and then by double clicking on the event, I open up the sample editor. Looking at it now, we see that the audio waveform is very low, it's barley…
