- Right, let's continue looking at quantization. Another way to access quantization options is to first of all select the event you wish to apply quantization to, and then come up to edit on the menu and drop down to this section, where we see four quantization option menu access points. The first of these is the quantize button itself with its shortcut Q listed there. If I selected this and clicked, it would immediately move the MIDI notes in this event to the grid value setup in the quantization area at the top right of the user interface seen in the previous movie. However, if you wish to gain more options prior to applying, we need to come down to this option to open this quantize panel into view. And from within here, we get to specify how the MIDI movements of notes will be applied and by how much. Remember, in the previous movie, we set the quantize preset to full note division points.
