- [Instructor] Okay, now that was an extreme volume fluctuation example to illustrate how it's done. We heard the volume changes in real time. I'll disengage both the read and write buttons now. Obviously, disengaging the write button makes sense if we're not recording any further volume changes. However, by disengaging the read button, those changes to the volume that we heard in real time do not play back. Instead, the volume remains rooted to its original start volume of minus six decibels. And, as you can see, wherever I place the cursor along the timeline reflects that still static minus six decibels playback level. We can note that the inspector readout remains at minus six DB throughout the duration of this section where we just wrote volume fluctuation levels.
