- You know Rich, the first thing that goes into getting better video and stills for that matter with a mobile device is getting a secure and stable platform. - You mean this isn't so good? - Well it's not so good, but I mean to be honest with you, Apple and Samsung and other camera manufacturers making mobile devices, not mobile phones, have done a pretty good job with image stabilization and ways of handling it in post-production, but nothing's going to ever replace a true stable platform. - Yeah, tripods were invented for a reason and it's because they work. What we've got here is a couple different styles. One, what do you got there? - This is from a company called Square Jellyfish and it kind of looks like a little jellyfish. The way that this works is that you have a tripod base down here, and then up here you have these little clamps that open up, but the cool thing about this one is that it's actually just spring-mounted or spring-loaded like that.
