- Hi, my name's Rich Harrington. - And I'm Robert Carman. - Welcome to this week's episode on Video Gear Weekly. And for full disclosure, this is the week where we're going to be talking about gear that is kind of expensive and you might want, but I just, you know if you get in trouble with your significant other or your boss comes back and says "Where'd you get such expensive taste?" Just don't tell them okay? - And this is also to be, also in full disclosure, the tip of the iceberg. And what we're trying to talk about, of course, is the idea of using fast prime lenses. - [Rich] Yeah. - [Robert] And fast lenses are referring to the aperture, the maximum aperture that a lens can attain, and this is kind of a thing that's kind of confused people for a long time right? It's fast aperture the lower the number of the aperture is on the lens, so for example, a 1.4 lens is faster, than a 2.8 lens.
