Using filters for your lens

Using filters for your lens

- We're out here in the Las Vegas desert, on a construction site. (beeping) Hear all the sounds behind us. The sun is really hot and harsh. And what we want to do today is take advantage of filters. Not filters you apply in post, but the original filters, ones sort of like these, that you actually attach to the front of the camera to deal with special lighting situations. We got a bunch of different options today, and I'm going to show you how the filters help you get the results. Everything from a polarizer, to adding some color to the sky, to a neutral density filter and even a variable neutral density filter. Let's head back into the studio where it's a little quieter, and I'll walk you through 'em. For Video Gear Weekly, my name's Rich Harrington.
