From the course: Video Gear: Cameras & Lenses

Welcome

- Hi there, my name is Robbie Carman. - And I'm Rich Harrington. - And welcome to DLSR video tips, cameras and lenses. Rich, there are so many cameras and lenses on the market, how can someone choose which ones work best for them? - [Rich] Well, it's important to figure out what camera and lens combinations are really going to help your workflow, and support your shooting goals. - [Robbie] Yeah, I agree. Each lens and camera combination affects your shot differently. And once you understand your camera system, you'll be able to use the combinations to your advantage. - [Rich] This course is created to help you gain an understanding of how lenses and cameras work together when shooting video. We'll take a look at all types of lenses from primes to zooms to including cinema lenses. We'll also explore many specific cameras including those from Canon, Blackmagic, Nikon, and GoPro. - [Robbie] We'll also explore many techniques to maximize your camera, like shooting in small places, getting a product shot, and making a time lapse. - [Rich] We'll also be diving into questions like, what's the difference between a crop sensor and the full sensor? How can I avoid lens flares? How do I rack focus? Or how do I match cameras together? - So let's jump in and take a deep look at using cameras and lenses to capture video. We've got a lot of great tips to share.
