- Hey there, I'm Robbie Carman. - And I'm Rich Harrington. - And Rich, this week we are at Flight Trampoline to take a look at wide angle lenses. And of course wide angle lenses are something that are often discussed in filmmaking because they have some good uses, but they also have some technical uses as well. - [Rich] Yeah there's a lot of things we're going to explore today. We're working with some athletes that are going to be flying through the air, so obviously we want to capture that. And it's not exactly predictable. Plus we're in a really big environment here so we want to get a sense of perspective of just how big this location is. We're trying to show it off. This is not an environment where tight angles really works. - Yeah and you mention the idea of composition of a shot. And that's traditionally what wide angle lenses have been used for. To set an establishing shot in a scene or to show the grandeur of an environment. But they also have technical uses these days. As we…
