- [Instructor] As we near the end of our discussion about data science in government and political science, I want to talk a little bit about how to get a job doing this exact kind of work. In terms of what kinds of jobs are available, I can think of a few general categories. One of course is to work for a political campaign, that is for a party or a candidate to predict votes and this is a very big part of politics and campaigns in recent years. The ability to precisely estimate, and as we know it doesn't always work well, but if you can do it and you can compensate for instance for the bias in polls, you're going to have a lot of value that you can bring to an organization. Second, working for a government-facing agency, think something like the Congressional Budget Office which provided economic estimates to Congress or something like the CIA which gathers intelligence and goes through the information for the use of other organizations within the government.
