Working with a limited palette

Now that we've completed the value portion of this painting, I'd like to work with a limited palette. And show you how with just three colors, we can actually map out a tremendous amount of color here. And I'll be basing my choice, my palette on Milton, the stapler. And the cloth, and the shirt that I have set up over there. I looked at it and I thought, just I didn't do a chart, but I just did a sort of, you know, study of some colors that fit that set up. Cobalt blue, a cadmium red, and cadmium yellow. And so now, usually what I like to do is start with. The most important element, so it contrasts and pops the most, which would be, Milton. I'm going to start with some cadmium red. This is my mixing brush. This is actually my good brush here. So we'll start with, just a pure pop of the cadmium color. And as soon as I put it in there you should be able to see That the sh, the color, that will act a shadow starts to already feel like a shadow, because we have this green color, which is…
