- [Voiceover] So in our first study we looked at how you can use a fine line pen, for sketching out your building in the landscape. But for this study I'm gonna use what's called a brush pen. And a brush pen is really handy because it's got this brush-like tip, and it's a lot closer to painting with a paint brush. So if you've seen a scene that you think will work well as a painting, but don't want to work in full color, this can really give you a quick way of getting down the different tonal value ranges that are within the scene. So I'm gonna go through the same process, but using a brush pen, and then some tonal value markers so we can quickly start to see how all the tones work within this specific scene. The two markers that I'm gonna be using, are both by Faber-Castell, the Pitt Artist pen, and they're both warm grays. This one's slightly darker, and this one'll work well for the tone up here on the far mountain, and this will be a nice medium shadow tone. So because I've got…
