Water and reflections

- Drawing reflections in water can be a really rewarding subject matter. There just could be a few key points for you to look out for that will really help to add realism into your drawings, and just differentiate the reflection from the main objects, so that they look more realistic. For doin' the next drawing, I'm going to be workin' on some tonal paper, and that's what I'm going to be drawing on top of, with the different tones of pens. Just to show you the difference between how the same materials can look on white paper and tonal paper. What I've got here are the artist pens that have the gray tones to them. This is a warm gray and this is the Faber Castell Pitt Pen. Just to show you, when I shade it onto here, you can see the difference in the feeling of warmth, because it's got that undertone underneath it. On this paper, it kinda melds into it and it gives it more of a watery color effect. Again, this is the lighter gray. Exactly the same pens, but the different paper choice…
