A drawing with depth

- So here I've changed the viewing position and I've got now, this really big building here on the left hand side, and that just really helps to give a strong element on the left that gives us a sense of something large in the foreground And then I've got these midtone shapes, and this is where the edges of the rock all go in, and of course this nice flow, this nice zig zag, that sends the viewer through the scene. And then I've got the first mountain range that we looked at, that's in the background, just giving us that nice sense of depth into the drawing. So now what I can do, is I can start to build up the drawing, working with those midtones, that warmer gray, and this will just be really good for the main body of the building. I'm starting again with the micron pen just working really lightly with it. And I use this fine line pen like I would apply very gentle lines with a pencil. So I've added the scale of the building on the left, and I can now start to sketch in the mountain…
