- So for the additional materials, I keep things very simple, really. I use a palette knife, and this is a 45 by a company called RGM. I really like the fact that it's got an angle to it, so when I scrape paint, I can really get all of the paint off of the palette, and it's a nice size for mixing colors that I'm painting with. I've also got a water spray here that I use very occasionally onto the actual acrylic paints on the palette, and this just helps to keep them moist for longer, just to add that water to the top of the paints. And I've also got kitchen roll, and I use kitchen roll or paper towel all throughout my paintings. I've often got a bit of it scrunched up in my hands so I can just adjust the actual amount of water on my brush by putting it into the kitchen roll, so this is really important for your paintings. But apart from that and a couple of brushes, that's all we need to get started. So I like to paint at a standing easel, and this is called an "H" easel just because…
