Challenge: Quickly sketch a series of basic and altered cubic forms

- It's time now to apply some of the methods we just covered in the last movie. I want you to sketch some basic cubic forms, and then through projection, begin adding or subtracting components. Remember the power the of diagonal and center lines to help locate geometry and space, but also the sheer power of projecting lines along surfaces to place vertices on other surfaces that can help to build the network of projection lines that facilitate quick decision making. One way to begin the process is by doing some very quick but simple orthographic thumbnails to think about how you wanna attack the problem. You could also start by building the basic cube, any sides you wish, and projecting the necessary lines to provide reference geometry. You could also do a combination of the two methods. Don't be concerned that sketching in orthographic is less valid. It's a great way to think through form, one phase at a time.
