- So now we can start our final painting. We've covered so many different things in this course. Now we can start to put them all together into one lovely little study. So we're going to be using color strings again to get all these nice tones of the painting, but we're also going to be introducing a new, brighter blue, so you can get these lovely turquoise colors down here. And then we're gonna get brave and bring out our palette knife. And instead of using it just to mix the colors, we're actually going to be using it onto the canvas to paint texture into our paintings. So let's get going on our final project, and the first thing that I'm gonna do is choose our colored ground. So for this painting, for this still life of the cup, I've got a lot brighter colors here. We've got this really bright green and a bright pink here in the flowers. So in terms of choosing a tone or ground, you can go a number of different ways with it.
