Add text decorations
- Let's see how to apply decorations to text in Affinity Publisher. I'll start by zooming in on my photo captions and you can apply decorations by first selecting one or more paragraphs. Or if you're applying decorations to just one paragraph, you only need to have your cursor in it. So I'll put my cursor in this first caption and go to the paragraphs panel and scroll down to the decorations controls. And here you can apply borders to any side of the paragraph. And there are options for positioning those borders with indents. Positive values move the borders inwards and negative values move them outwards. I'll reset that to zero. And you can make the left and right indents relative to the text, paragraph indents, or column. And the top and bottom borders can be positioned relative to several attributes of the text.
