- Let me finish with a couple visual and verbal tips that you can apply throughout the magazine in all kinds of situations that will help enliven your presentation. The first is this when you're working in that narrow column, although this is not confined to that column but when you're working in that narrow column, you can float an image like you see here. You can also bleed that image to the edges of the column. In addition, you can add a caption and here's a fun thing, to the caption, you can add a headline. It can either stand alone like this or it can run into the text like this. And one thing I like a lot is to the caption you can add a section caption like this, a second picture, more descriptive text, it's smaller, it's adding a point of interest and if you're really daring, you can add a graphic to that second caption.
