- [Instructor] Let's see how to align and distribute items in Affinity Publisher. In my document, I just have some simple squares that I want to align and distribute. And the first thing I need to do is make sure I have the move tool. And then I'll click on one of the squares to select it. This makes the Alignment button in the toolbar active, and I can click it to see my options. There are controls for aligning horizontally and aligning vertically, and with just one item selected, if I click any of these, the item will align to the page. So if I click Align Vertically, Align Top, the square jumps to the top edge of the page. Or I can align it to the center or the bottom. Likewise, I can make it align to the left edge, center, or right edge of the page. And notice how both buttons stay depressed. This is a clue that while you have the Alignment dialog open you can turn off the alignment you applied by clicking the buttons…
