- There's a cliche about a certain kind of tough guy who laughs at fear. (energetic rock music) (record scratching) The thing is the types of fears that stifle your creative process really are pretty laughable. Yeah, I know deadlines can pressure and the need to deliver can be significant, but really for most of us failing at a creative endeavor is not going to mean that someone dies or is harmed or is deprived of something essential. Fine, maybe there are consequences sometimes for creative failures, but are those consequences really so bad that you need to go into full on fight or flight, fear based, paralyzing insanity?
