- [Instructor] Let's take a look at how to apply basic text formatting in Affinity Publisher. In our file here we have a heading at the top of the text column that we need to format. First I'll zoom in on it. And take the frame text tool and in the View menu, I'll turn off Column Guides and the Baseline Grid. Then I'll go to the Text menu and turn on Show Special Characters. And that way I can see that this heading is in one paragraph with a forced line break or a soft return at the end of the first line. I'll turn Special Characters back off. And now let's change the formatting of this text. First, let's apply some color. With the frame text tool, I'll select the whole paragraph by clicking four times. And then click the font color control, in the context toolbar. In here, I can mix a new color using RGB, HSL, CMYK and so on. I'll pick the RGB Sliders. And I can drag the sliders.
