- In this movie we'll see how to work with effects in Affinity Publisher. I'll start by opening the effects panel by choosing view, studio, effects. And to speed things up, I've gone ahead and applied each of the effects to our flowers here. So we have things like gaussian blur, outer shadow, inner shadow, so it looks like you're viewing the flowers through a hole cutout in the green background. Outer glow, inner glow, outline, which places a stroke around the object. 3D, which adds highlights and shadows. Bevel and emboss, which also creates 3D effects with shadows and highlights. Color overlay and gradient overlay. And in the effects panel, each one of these has a checkbox to turn it on and off and a triangle you can click to show and hide the controls.
