- [Instructor] While we have the exciting opportunity to work with two hues, there are some best practices I recommend around using Illuminating and Ultimate Gray. If you have watched any of my courses on color, you'll know I always say to lead with intention and emotion. We connect with color on an emotional level. Knowing what emotions Illuminating and Ultimate Gray create will help you form a stronger communication in your marketing, branding and even interiors. Now because we're working with two hues, if you choose to use both, you'll need to determine your dominant hue. Think of this as the dominant hue paving the way for your communication. For instance, if you want to bring more energy and joy, you may consider using Illuminating as your dominant hue, or if you want to build on strength and resilience, Illuminate Gray will be a better fit.
