- Nature is an incredible muse. Painters, designers, illustrators, poets, songwriters, and photographers have been inspired by it for centuries. Many artists have used flowers as a motif. There are a lot of painting and drawings of flowers. Lots and lots. They have a variety but does the world really need another drawing of a flower? Been there, done that. If someone asked me to draw a flower, I'd have to ask myself, How could I express a flower in a new voice. Discovering this could help us approach overdone motifs in a more dynamic way. When is the last time you really looked at a flower? I mean, all the way into it. Taking a flower and dissecting it, I can see things with a magnifying glass that I never knew existed.
