- In the workplace, or at the start of the school year, many of us are asked to do team-building exercises to bond with our colleagues or fellow students. If you find that your usual reaction to this is a classic eye-roll, "not this again", I have a prompt, which isn't only fun, but it can generate breakthrough imagery that couldn't have been accomplished on your own. Interfacing with another human in a creative endeavor opens new avenues beyond your usual outcome. The surrealists would play a game called "Corpus Equis", or "exquisite corpse", to create new dream-like imagery for their paintings. This is an easy game to play with co-workers or friends. All you need is a partner, a piece of paper, and a pencil or pen. An index card that you find in the office works perfectly.
