Color psychology

- Whether we are aware of it or not, we always experienced a psychological response to color. Our brain processes color differently. It could be conscious or unconscious stemming from learned behaviors, heritage, and culture and even biological responses. But let's dig deeper into the psychology of color as it relates to sales and marketing. You've likely seen those generic color charts that convey how a brand color associates with specific emotions, a simple an online search will give you lots of results, however, these results are not always accurate or consistent. The main issue with this approach is that categorizing colors this way isn't inclusive of how different cultures respond to color. Red can communicate love, urgency, or danger but these color charts often miss including how red hues can symbolize prosperity and marriage in many different countries.
