- Sensory perception is the gateway to connecting with our creativity. Our lives are so quick and so slick that we often forget to slow down and stop to smell the flowers. So, I've a little story I want to tell you as I'm sipping my tea, just a quick one about a recent trip I took to India. I went to India and I decided that I was not going to bring a camera, and not only that, when I was sightseeing around, I wasn't even going to really bring my phone. So, in other words, I wasn't allowed to take pictures and you might think well, you went all the way to India why would you not take pictures? I'm telling you this because I was interested in journaling there and sketching there and I knew if I was always leaning on my camera to take hundreds of pictures I wouldn't be able to connect with my environment in the way that I most organically could in a creative fashion. So, I would go places and instead of clicking 50 photographs I would find a place to sit and I would take a look around…
