- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll take a look at the process of converting files from other page layout programs so you can work on them in Affinity Publisher. The first thing to know is that Publisher cannot open Adobe InDesign files, or QuarkXPress files directly, but Publisher can open PDF files. So when you want to move content from one of those other programs into Publisher, you first need to export a PDF. Make sure to use export settings that will preserve the colors, and full resolution of your images, and if your original document was built for print, be sure to include bleeds. And do not export as spreads, even if your document uses facing pages. I'll show you in a minute how to deal with that situation. First, let's take a look at the PDF we're going to open. I exported this PDF from Adobe InDesign, it's nine pages long, and spreads from a magazine, and it's a pretty complex layout. It has images that…
