- [Instructor] Let's see how to create and apply gradients in Affinity Publisher. First, I'll select the object I want to apply my gradient to, which is this rectangle on the back panel of my brochure. And I'll also turn off snapping by clicking the button in the tool bar just so we're not distracted by the measurements and lines that appear with snapping. The tool for working with gradients is the fill tool, so I'll take it. And then I'll click and drag on the rectangle to fill it with a gradient. Where I first click will be one end of the gradient, and as I drag around I can set the other end of the gradient. And as I drag you can see the gradient's length and angle change. After I release I can just click and drag again to draw a new gradient. Or drag either end after I release to reposition it. If you hold the Shift key as you drag, you can make the gradient line constrain to 45 degree increments. I'll hold…
