Create (or delete) a CC Library

- [Instructor] Creating a CC library is very, very straightforward indeed and you can do it in all of the desktop apps that support libraries and also all of the mobile apps that support libraries as well as a couple of other places. To do so, in the desktop apps, you simply go to the CC libraries panel. Now here in InDesign, where I am at the moment it's called CC libraries. You can always find the panels in the window menu here. And the only reason it's called CC libraries specifically is that InDesign has a separate thing called libraries which are for collections of assets. If I swap to Photoshop, you'll actually see that it's just called libraries as it is pretty much everywhere else. So to create a library, you'll see there is a link at the top of the library just here. You can also do that from the top of the fly out menu as well. And all you need to do once you've decided to do that is to give the library a name. So I'm just going to call this my demo library like so and create it. And that's it. There's the library ready to accept assets. If you need to rename it at any point because it does happen. and also if you're bringing in assets from something like capture sometimes it generates new libraries called my library which is a tad awkward but to rename them really easy, again go to the panel fly out here and then choose rename, insert name of your library here. So if I just call this demo one just there like so and rename it then it's renamed and deleting is easy as well as you're probably guessing it's up to the fly out menu here and choose to delete that library. and then hit delete. Now, if you did it by accident, there is a way to get back to it using the Creative Cloud app because it gets archived first before deletion but you'll find out more about that towards the end of this chapter but there you are that's how you can create, rename and delete libraries.
