- [Nigel] Hi, I'm Nigel French, welcome to Type Tips. I was looking through my design books the other day and I came across this example and I thought this would make an excellent exercise for Type Tips to try and recreate this Fortune Magazine cover from February 1960. So this is my version. Now, I'm going to turn off that ending layer and come to the start layer. Press W to turn on my guides. This is going to bring up a number of interesting things, gridify, sequential styles, object styles, and also a very useful script called Break Frame. I'm going to start out by adding some guides. Layout, Create Guides, I want 10 rows and six columns. Then I'll switch to my type tool. Skipping the first row, I'm going to draw myself a text frame over the type area. Tap my Right Arrow to divide this into columns and my Up Arrow to divide it into rows. I've now created a sequence of threaded text frames and into the first of those frames, I'm going to…
