Creativity as a practice
- What I've tried to outline over the last 11 episodes is an examination and understanding of the very beginning of creative process. Because I feel like that's where things usually go wrong for most people. I also feel like those moments of spontaneous impulse and the ability to embrace those moments and expand them into full fledged creative ideas, I think that process can be practiced and developed. The practice takes time, and the process and changes can be subtle. But, to sum up, you are creative. I won't even put that up for a debate, because everyone is creative. Creativity is simply a process that can be learned. The more creative person is someone who is better at the process. Creative process begins when your brain, in an effort to explain some stimulus that you're experiencing, offers you an explanation of that stimulus. I think I saw something over there.
