Draw and use shape tools
- [Instructor] Let's look at how to draw objects using the shape tools in Affinity Publisher. The shape tools are all grouped together in the tools panel and you can see them all by clicking and holding on the main tool icon, or by simply clicking on the small triangle in the bottom right corner of the tool icon. And you can see it's quite a long list of shapes. Drawing any one of them works the same way. You start by selecting one, I'll take the Polygon Tool. And I'll be sure snapping is turned off, so I can draw freely. And I'll click and drag to create my shape. Hold the Command key on Mac or Ctrl on Windows to draw from the center of the shape instead of the corner. Hold the spacebar to reposition the shape as you draw. Hold the Shift key to constrain proportions. You can use the controls in the context toolbar to adjust the shape. So for example, I can change from five sides to eight. I can add curvature. Or I can…
