From failure to an opportunity

- [Interviewer] After running a successful business for years, Marty wanted to once again to try to take control of his destiny by starting a new venture. This was the first step to a series of moments that eventually pushed him into some of the most challenging times of his life and his career. - [Marty] But I just wanted to do something a little more relaxed where I have some control over it, and I thought doing a magazine would be like that. What I hadn't considered was that it also is a hard mistress because you have deadlines on that, too, and no matter what happens, that magazine has to go out on time, So, and it was taking, you know, the full amount of time that I had between issues to get that out at the quality level I wanted. And so anything goes wrong and you get late. So lots of just working seven days a week, holidays, Christmas, everything, just, you know. And it was a great learning experience, but…
