- Before we talk about how we develop and build new relationships, the how-to, so to speak, I want to first help you overcome some misconceptions and reframe how you think about new business and relationship building so you can get out of your own way. Creatives use many rationalizations to justify why they are not currently pursuing new opportunities. So let's first begin by talking directly and honestly about some of the excuses and misconceptions we use. Some of these may sound familiar to you and include I don't have time. Eventually, I want to find a partner or hire somebody else to do that. I'm a quiet, modest, or shy person. I'm not aggressive. I do business as doing my website or SEO.
