How can a mood board build a client's brand?
- [Instructor] You've heard the phrase, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Then how can a mood board make design decision-making easier, both during the branding process and down the line? If a designer or design team gets stuck during the branding process, they can refer to the mood board to evaluate a potential design asset. A design asset is a catchall term referring to all the materials needed to complete a project. By comparing a design asset to the mood board, a designer can decide if it's a good fit or not. Is its look, feel, and style cohesive with the aesthetic of the mood board? If the answer is yes, then it could be included. If the answer is no, the asset should be eliminated because it's not a cohesive fit. If a decision is made to include an asset that doesn't fit with a mood board, then that indicates the direction of the project has shifted. After a brand identity has been created, the mood board…
