How do you set up a color palette?
- An easy way to set up a color palette is to find something with the colors in it that you like. It could be a photograph. It could be a drawing. It could be anything. And sample colors, you know, right out of that photo. And when you do that, you're gonna wanna sample the big colors, which are the ones you see most of, pick two or three. And you're gonna wanna sample the small colors, you know, just the spots that you see least of. You're gonna wanna sample a few dark colors and a few light colors. So you end up with maybe a dozen colors, and then sort them from color A to color B to color C, and then from dark to light. And you have a beautiful and perfectly functional color palette. In the case of a photograph, every color on your palette then, will go with the photo, because every color is from that photo. That to me is the most active living way to find a palette of colors.
