- Several years ago, in the middle of launching a big website, our initial client contact left the company. Up to that point, the job had gone smoothly. We had great conversations with the client, everyone seemed happy, and we were on schedule. Now we had a new client representative. We met with him to restate the directives, actions and decisions that had been made to date, but had been rough going. I returned from a business trip before our next meeting with the client, and I was feeling anxious, and with good reason. At the meeting I find myself fielding questions about many parts of the site that had already been signed off on, coded and marked done for weeks. At this meeting, he said he would have done some things differently than the previous lead, and wanted us to keep going with the changes that he suggested.
