- What next? If you haven't watched my related courses, please do. They're full of useful instruction pertinent to magazines. Immerse yourself in magazine design. There's no better place than at the magazine stand. At Barnes and Noble, to name one, you'll find hundreds of titles, many beautifully designed. Look for those pertinent to your topic or that just speak to you. Often you'll find cool stuff in unrelated topic areas and study them on techniques, details, whatever strikes your eye. And let me say again that magazine design is a fluid process that requires constant iteration. Nothing stays put. Every page is different from every other, every issue different from every other. All the parts are in motion and often things happen fast. Just keep in mind to set a few fixed points.
