Objective finding during the creative process
- There's a difference between a solution and a goal. A solution is an answer. A goal is a state of being. When you set a goal, you're envisioning a change in something. Think of a goal as the result of a solution. The first step in the creative process is to find your objective. What is your goal? What will solving this problem ultimately do? A single solution can have multiple goals, and that's okay. The key is to start identifying what you want to happen when you solve this problem. Stay focused on the ideal state you want to create, rather than just the solution to the problem. Start by finishing the following question regarding your problem, wouldn't it be great if. This is an aspirational statement, something that forces you to imagine the outcome of your solution. Once you have that statement, answer these questions, but answer them in order. What are all of the problems you would need to be solved for that ideal state to come true? What solutions would you need to get for each…
