Organize content with Layers

- [Instructor] Let's go ahead and add more content into our master page. Another graphic element that will repeat itself in each page is the background. But before we create a background, let's discover how to take advantage of layers when creating different type of content. By using multiple layers, you will be able to create and edit the specific areas of content independently. Choose window from the top menu and select layers. When the layers panel pops up, you will see that you already have one layer in the panel. In fact, each document created in InDesign includes a list one layer. Layers are containers used for managing content like graphics, text, or other elements that make up a layered file. Click on the small plus icon at the bottom of the panel to create a new layer.
