- Before you attend or speak at a conference or event, you must first define what your goals and relationship building strategies are and what actions you should take prior to the event to ensure a valuable use of your time and efforts once you are there. In order to ensure you leverage your time and effort at the event, you first need to lay the groundwork. Here are the steps to go through to prepare for the event.
