Preparing the images

- For the next few movies I'd like us to turn our attention to the preparation and placement of the images. So before we place them, we need to prepare them in Photoshop. Here is one of the original illustrations, and the first thing I want to do is convert it from a color image to a grayscale image. Next, I want to make sure that I give it a meaningful name. You may remember that I pointed out in the text file that I have inserted these markers, indicating where the images are to be placed. Now these markers are based upon the 1897 edition. So I went through that PDF, and noted the page number of those images. Our pagination is different, but that doesn't matter. We can always refer to and find this marker in the text. So I'm going to save the file. I'll keep it as a JPEG, as zero eight, and then I'm going to add in a word that is referenced in the caption. The next thing I want to do is add the caption text to the image metadata. Because, this is just a static caption. We need a…
