- [Instructor] Welcome to Type Tips. I'm Nigel French. This week's type tip is about creating professional typography in Microsoft Word. Now, while Word wouldn't be my first choice for creating type, and frankly, it wouldn't be my second choice either, sometimes we work with clients who have only Word and they use it for everything. Perhaps, we are preparing templates for them to create their own documents in Word. The good news is that you do have a lot of the same typographic features that are in InDesign or Illustrator. You just have to dig a bit deeper to find them. So firstly, I am going to come and change my view to Print Layout, and then I'm going to come to the Layout menu here, or to the Formatting menu and choose Columns. I'll do it here.
