- One of my earliest recollections of an interest in logo design was an almost OCD reaction to a logo I'd seen on TV. Almost as if the logo had been placed there as a challenge to me. I was astounded at how poorly it was drawn. It was a geometric collection of shapes spelling out K-S-N, but the letter S, looked like someone had carved it out with a dull butcher knife. I mean an S is a beautiful letter that curves and flows with a really sweet line and this attempt had no grace or sensibility at all. You can probably sense I still get worked up over this. This chapter really focuses in on trends that relate back to designer's ongoing relationship with perfection and geometry. There are proportions that people respond to because they create a feeling of harmony. A sweet curve is seen as such because it knows perfection and doesn't just aspire to it and look like someone dinged it in the parking lot.
