- How do you get re-inspired when you hit a dry spell and feel like you're loosing momentum? How do we get past the stress and panic that starts to consume us when we're blocked like that? As an artist, I know how debilitating a block can feel. When things aren't flowing, I start to lose hope. When this happens, rather than getting all caught up in the panic of it, I try and remember that the simplest acts can spark inspiration. I've been painting for a years, and I'm still mezmorized by color combinations. In fact sometimes when I'm mixing paints, I totally loose track of time and enter this creative zone where I have no concept of how long I've been mixing color. It's sort of like a beautiful trance. (tranquil music) It's a true connection with the beauty of a process so elemental. This simple acts fills my creative well in a tactile, non-intellectual way.
