Rewrite an old story

- Do you ever feel like you're telling old stories over and over again? How can we revise and reenergize what we have to say? Sometimes the revision is stronger when we embrace the edit and let go of the excess. I used to be an obsessive journal writer but then I got bored with myself. Who would want to read this? To make it sparky, I decided to pare it down and simplify what I had to say. Now I mostly write haikus, short poems which distill a moment in time instead of offering every detail. An altered book is created by taking an existing used book and literally altering or changing the pages in some way, making it your own.
