- Around 2015, I received a service request from a potential client. He let me know that he was running a new nonprofit organization with the likes of Mark Ruffalo, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Yoko Ono. Besides the fact that this was an interesting collection of names, the mission of the organization, dubbed The Solutions Project, greatly intrigued me. The Solutions Project is a nonprofit with a worthy mission, to shift U.S. energy consumption to entirely green solutions by 2050. To accomplish this mission, they brought in a team of Stanford University scientists to determine the following: the then current energy mix of each individual state, the then current economic impact of that energy mix in each individual state, the future economic impact on each individual state, and the future energy mix of each individual state based on what would be available to them.
