- [Instructor] Let's get started by clicking on create new to open the new document panel. From here you can set the intent to print and in just one click InDesign will change the document settings to match the print specifications. The units will change into millimeters. The color mode, two C-M-Y-K, and the resolution to 300 DPI, which is the standard print resolution measured in dots per inch. Let's start by selecting the number of pages. In this case, I'm going to select two pages. To set the size, you can input a number manually by using the width and the height fields or you can click on view more presets located on the left side of the window to use any of the existing presets. I'm going to select the A5 size, which is 148 millimeters by 210 millimeters. And it corresponds to the American Alpha letter measuring 8.5 by 5.5 inches.
