Understanding layers

- In this movie, we'll take a look at how layers work in Affinity Publisher. Layers provide a lot of the structure and organization for your pages. With layers, you control which objects appear in front of, or behind, other objects. You can show or hide objects, adjust their opacity. You can lock and unlock objects. And you can clip objects, mask them, apply blend modes, effects, and adjustments. So understanding layers is really important. And while there is a Layer menu with several useful commands, You'll most likely be using the Layers panel more often. Just because it's more convenient and you can do anything you need to do to a layer here. One of the first things you need to understand about layers is that they are not global. Meaning that every spread contains a unique set of layers with the items on that spread. And if you need objects to appear on more than one page, you should probably put them on a master…
